Tucked into the foot of the Swan Range, A Bar Montana quickly became a local legend known for quality, hand-crafted food, live music, and damn cool people.

In 2018, Ferndale locals Greg Edwards and Amber Harper had a vision of creating a friendly bar with great food, live music, and good conversation. They bought the 1970’s A-frame, and the 10 acres it sits on, at the junction of Montana highways 83 and 209. The low-key vibe in the bar, and the vast garden with breathtaking views of the Swan Range, has made the A Bar a favorite not just as a local hang, but as a venue for parties, weddings, reunions, and the yearly Montana Legends Memorial Run for the Vets.
